Photos I reveal of clients are usually taken before their treatments. I could easily use post facial/extractions as the ‘before’ photos to make the results appear more drastic. The real change is when you see the skin in calm, normal state.
In pretty minimal time, we got her ingrown hairs and hyperpigmentation to subside significantly, which was mostly due to shaving/laser hair removal. Her overall texture and congestion is a lot better too👏🏽 (this was only after her 2nd visit) #progressnotperfection

HYDROJELLY MASKS, my current obsession.
Formulated primarily with Algae and Electrolytes, these masks help the skin achieve a natural moisture balance, keeping the lipid barrier strong and healthy. Organic components of rice flower • whole grain oat flower • and willow bark reduces redness and inflammation, gently exfoliates, and protects against environmental stresses.
They are customized depending on what conditions are being targeted. I also can’t even begin to explain how amazing they smell and feel on the skin. The one in this photo is a brightening complex with pieces of orange peel meant to inhibit melanin production to lighten and prevent dark spots/pigmentation. Its illuminating powers gives your skin the ultimate glow! ✨ *Featured in the Organic Probiotic Clear and Correct Facial, but can also be added on to any treatment for $20*
In light of celebrating my 2nd year of #nationalestheticianday I felt inclined to share these transformation photos of MY skin (circa 2013 v. today). Part of the reason I was inspired to pursue a career in esthetics was because of my personal battle with acne. Once upon a time I would've never had the courage to post what it really looked like. Now I do because the beauty in sharing creates a community that allows others to step forward and be their true, unfiltered selves with no shame or guilt. I give strength and hope to those struggling with their own skin insecurities.

I was covered in pustules, cysts, whiteheads, blackheads...you name it. My skin was so inflamed because I was stripping it with creams from the dermatologist and other products that were heavily pushed on to me. I remember feeling so hopeless at one point but I didn’t give up. I trial and error’d 𝐚 𝐥𝐨𝐭 and when I eventually became an Esthetician I knew I had to educate and help others.
Skincare is my PASSION, I didn't do this to chase money or as an easy way out. I got into this career a year after graduating college with my Bachelor's. Honestly, I thought I'd be broke doing this in the beginning. Anything you believe in can grow into a lucrative business or career. It's a gift to wakeup and love what you do everyday and my gratitude is given to everyone who makes that happen for me💗
Are you still convinced this is true? The answer is NO! no. no. no.
This was something I believed for a long time and thought I was washing my acne away.
This is very common for those with dry skin as well. The reality is — the more you scrub and wash, the more you’re stripping your skin of it’s natural oils. You don’t need to wash your face 3x a day (twice max). Deep exfoliation would be 1-3x/week.
Give yourself time and patience!
Really excited about this client’s results after just one facial! So much of her inflammation has gone down and she loaded up on products after loving her samples. We’re working on incorporating acids/acne fighting ingredients as well as those that will repair her acid mantle to reduce redness.
Nothing makes me happier than a returning client and seeing their progression in person. Can’t wait see her future improvements 🙌🏽🙏🏼
Here’s a fact: 𝗔𝗚𝗘 𝗜𝗦 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗔 𝗦𝗞𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗬𝗣𝗘 — use what’s right for you and what will help treat your skin conditions.
Although it’s never 𝘵𝘰𝘰 𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘦 *inserts favorite line* preventative care is always the best care!
In my experience, many clients who had flawless skin in their teens and early 20s don’t start noticing changes until they’ve reached their 30s.
All the sun damage that accumulated overtime has turned from a sweet tan and cute freckles to discoloration and age/liver spots. Their once soft and clear skin is now filled with fine lines and blemishes. Most times they confess wishing they started to care more for their skin at a younger age. It takes a lot more time and effort to erase the damage once it’s already been done.
2 major factors for these changes being:
1️⃣ By the age of 25, our bodies stop producing collagen and it begins to lose its ability to respond to physical changes from aging and the sun. You begin losing about 1-2%/year
2️⃣ A decrease in our cellular turnover cycle. Once you hit puberty it’s typically around 28 days. That process slows down more and and more as we age (this can depend on genetics, environment, lifestyle, etc.)
Many men and women didn’t have the luxury that we now do with all this information about skincare. They (or if this is you) simply didn’t know better. Not your fault.
TIPS for 𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 (at any age):⤵️
1. SPF to protect yourself from the biggest culprit of aging which is UVA rays
2. Antioxidant serums/Vitamin C to protect your skin from free radicals and sun damage
3. Exfoliation to speed up cell renewal process
4. Retinol which is a vitamin A derivative that has very effective anti-aging benefits
To my young clients who tell me their friends or parents think they’re silly and too young to spend money on products and facials... good for you investing in the protection of your largest organ👏🏽
To my older clients, don’t give up! Better late than never.
Obsessed with this dramatic, yet still natural look 😍
Sometimes I get as excited as my clients do when they see their extensions for the first time 😂

Microneedling in action 🎥 (the buzzing of the pen is very ASMR to me 😂)
You can see by her facial expression that she is very comfortable even on the forehead where the skin is very thin. We are creating micro channels in the skin to allow for collagen production to help her with texture, uneven skin-tone, and pore size.
If the fact that seeing blood scares you, it shouldn’t! It has growth factors are only going to enhance the treatment✨

ROSACEA —— A chronic vascular condition which appears primarily on the cheeks and nose which can be traced all the way back to childhood. Symptoms include flushing (redness) or broken capillaries (dilated blood vessels), and in some cases, the formation of papules and pustules.
Causes are not set and stone but points to internal, systemic issues.
4 primary causes identify as:
•Bad bacteria in the gut
•Sluggish circulatory system (causing redness)
•Stress in the nervous system (emotions, stress can agitate)
•Demodex mites on the skin
Yes. Bacteria plays a large role in the development of rosacea. Tiny mites live in our skin and produce bacteria. Those with rosacea often harbor these uninvited guests up to 6x more than healthy skin causing more irritation.
Pay attention to circumstances where you got a flare up after such as a bad sunburn or treatment. Could also be the products you’re using, switch to ones with cleaner ingredients. Pin point when your skin is feeling sensitive.
Madelic Acid is probably one of the best ingredients to incorporate in your regimen if you suffer from rosacea. It has very gentle exfoliating properties, it’s anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal which eliminates bacteria components while reducing inflammation.
Other ingredients to look for:
Sea buckthorn oil
Stem cells (strengthens capillaries)
Omega fatty acids
✖️AVOID✖️AHAs like glycolic and lactic acid (these acids have very small molecules that penetrate too quickly and may cause irritation) .
Sun protection is crucial! Mineral based sunscreen is your best bet because it offers anti-microbial/inflammatory support. As far as treatments go, schedule a consultation to see an esthetician. Typically corrective facials and chemical peels, and LED therapy help.
MICRONEELDING RESULTS 👏🏽👏🏽
Safe for all skin types - the production of collagen allows for acne scars and pigmentation to lighten. All of your products at home will also be able to penetrate so much better!

Those pores aren’t going to clean themselves! (this isn’t me suggesting you to do it at home)
Come visit me for a Clear and Correct facial for deep cleansing and extractions 🤗 *these are results after 1 session*
Have to give a huge thank you to @bobo_cooks for allowing me to be a vendor at my first local pop up on Saturday! It was amazing to see you bring people together in such a positive way and help share all the talent that stems from a small city called Yonkers. Also thank you to everyone who stopped by to purchase products, ask questions about my services, and even to just say hi 💗 (this candid pic was the best I could get 🙃)
WARNING ⚠️ DON’T watch if you’re squeamish. For those who appreciate these videos, I appreciate you 😂
Absolutely do not attempt to extract these sort of pustules with your own hands at home because you will most likely just spread the bacteria. This is a case where 4 were clustered together and I carefully lanceted inside each pore before going in for the extraction.
Esthetician’s: always make sure that you go in for a second or third push to ensure that ALL the pus is out. If not, your client will probably wake up with a bump again the next day.
